Baby Shower Pics
Our pride and joy...or at least until  July 7th comes around.  Our new / old car!  1996 Volvo Wagon with only 88,000 miles bought for dirt cheap!  I'm excited about this purchase because it was bought on Ebay, didn't have to deal with the dealer, gave him cash, and was on my way. Feels good!  Other than some quirks that come with an older car, it should run until our soon to come daughter is 16 and driving!  Perfect teenager car, right?  Every teenager when she's sixteen will want a cassette player!

Here you go!  35 Weeks!

Today we spent some time out back while roasting some chicken on the grill.  It was a bright, sunny, early evening and a perfect time to take some serious photos.

33 weeks down and some more to go!

Solo and her best friend, Norm, enjoying the Grasshoppers baseball game together
Tonight was "Bark in the Park" at the Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball game.  The weather was perfect for getting out and inhaling some fresh air.  To make the night even better, we ate dinner at some friends of ours house first (Kim, Kevin and their dog Norm), and then we all drove out to the ballpark.  Not sure what the final score was, but I know Solo and her favorite buddy, Norm, had a great time.  The night was sponsored by Red Dog Farm Animal Rescue where Solo came from.

Last Friday I had some time on my hands and decided to do some research on how I might print T-shirts of my artwork, and on impulse I created this.  Should be in this week!

This morning I decided to leave Solo out on her leash instead of putting her in her crate. Walking up the driveway to the backyard of the house while coming back home for lunch, I noticed she wasn't there!  I walked a bit further and noticed Solo off to the left side, still on her leash, but caught in the raised herb beds.  Solo had pulled her leash out of the ground, well away from any plants, and got herself all tangled up in the raised garden beds. With nowhere to go and do, she made the choice to destroy the herbs and dig some holes.  The basil, which has had bouts with Solo before, is now dead.  Actually, the basil is nowhere to be seen???  Currently on life support:  cilantro, parsley, dill, and all six head lettuce.
