Daddy's first go at feeding Kennedy with a spoon. Not a bad job if I do say so myself!

Eating like a big girl...well kinda.
It's been some time since updated the old blog. Times are changing fast! Kennedy can now roll over, we're starting to feed her cereal from a spoon (well, we're trying), and we just bought a new car yesterday (make that new to us). Sleep? Who needs sleep?

First Big Girl Bath!!
Just before this "splish splashy" bath, Kennedy dropped a present in her diaper - A present that she had been holding inside since Friday. The smell reminded me of the groover on 5 day river trips! Thanks for the friendly reminder, Kennedy! I cope much better with these things on the river!

Kennedy's first day at childcare...
Being totally honest, I can't say it was easy for us taking Kennedy to daycare today for the first time, nor did it feel normal. Sure I've been a true parent for the last 3 months, but today was the first day I felt like "dad." Amy was excited to go back to work, but not real excited about not hanging out with Kennedy throughout the day. Prime definition of bitter sweet you could say.
After staff meeting I went to my office to begin where I left off. No sooner did I sit down and I got my first daycare call. They wanted to know if we had any gas relief medication because Kennedy was gassy and crying. Come to think of it, that's kind of a funny call for my first parent call. Typical Neely / Miller family I guess! So I did my parental thing and ran across the street, got the gas relief, went to the room, gave Kennedy her medicine, and went on my way. The blessing of living across the street and working in the same building as our daycare. However, I wasn't expecting my first parental call on the first day, or the reason being, "Mr. Neely, Kennedy is gassy and needs help." It was truly the first day I felt like the big DAD for sure!
After bringing her home from her first day at "school," she was sooo tired! I put her in the crib and she was out in less than a minute. This is the picture I took. Until another day...

Found a video from last summer
Nephew Micah came to visit me while on a middle school service work trip in Georgia. In case you can't figure it out, we were about to go swimming! ha!

More Kennedy talking
When I would look away while holding the camera, she would make more noise so that I would look back at her. Foreshadowing?

Times they are a changin'!
Time flies when you sit, eat, sleep, and...well you get the point. Kennedy is changing by the second.
- Chicken legs to chunky chicken legs
- 2 fold leg count to at least 5 folds in each leg. The chunkiest part behind her knee is call the "Chunk Monk."
- Outgrown her first batch of clothes. Couldn't even button one up.
- Little noise to chatting like she's on the phone with her BFF.
- Using only her pacifier to sticking her whole hand in her mouth trying to find her thumb
- No smiles to huge smiles!
- Getting up every 3 hours to starting to sleep between 5 to 7 hours at night!! NUTS! The little things that gets us excited these day.

Kennedy...Mini Me??
I was intrigued by Kennedy's belly today. Amazed that she had a beer belly, without consuming any beer of course. Well she has been enjoying a lot of home brew in a bottle, but not the kind where the main ingredients are hops. Anyway, after looking through the pictures I took today, I noticed that she actually looks like Mini Me from the movie Austin Powers. Hehehe!
